@DBM Rapture? Uhmmm... hmmm . I think I missed it all. I'm moving to your house anyhow DBM, we'll divvy up your honeydew list add most of the time saved to looking at coins and use what's leftover for making world class scotch in the traditional fashion. I have serious credentials as a high grade distiller.

First I would like to thank you all that took time out of your day to make up and mail in a card. It means a lot to have such great fellowship on the forum. I would also like to thank those who took the time to look over the cards and learn a bit about something in the lives of our coin collecting friends from around the world. I was quite fascinated and very pleased with all of these cards.
OK.... Drum roll please!
The winner of the Silver Maple by random draw via Chartered Accountant (I'm not kidding here) is..... Upstate! Congratulations Upstate, please email me your snail mail address QUICKLY due to potential strike action by Canuck Post. Please join me in congratulating Upstate who's card was a very fine sample. Upstate will receive the troy oz Maple and all the cards from participating members. Thank you Upstate!
Next we get to choose the best card... Vote for the card you like best, that isn't your own. In order to be eligible for votes cast TO you, you must cast a vote yourself. If it's too fragmented we'll do a top three vote off. Voting ends Next Sunday evening at midnight and I'll decide what to do then if further actions is needed.
Thanks folks!

Ugly,my wife is quite familiar with moonshine and coins, she'd accept you as a long lost cousin. Her grandfather was a small town blacksmith who supplemented his income with product from his still. When he died in 1965 it was discovered that he had an amazing collection of coins, and corresponded with many famous collectors of his era.His coins were a much more closely guarded secret than his series of stills. My wife's uncle inherited the coins and the production equipment. He decided to become an urban moonshiner,he built a second story on his garage to get the ventilation as high up as possible and dug a basement underneath by pail and shovel, hauling away the dirt, and bringing in concrete blocks, sand, gravel, cement etc.in the back of his car so as not to draw attention to himself. In 1971 he quit work and became a full-time urban moonshiner. He didn't add much to the coin collection,he started collecting banknotes both collectible and spendable. My brother in law was the only one allowed to view the collection and said he was too distracted by the xxxx and other items in the safe to give an opinion on the coins and collectible bills,as they'd all be his eventually. He once brought a set of raw MS silver dollars to show me. The uncle died last November,a wealthy man.In the will my brother in law was to receive the contents of the safe, Collecting and distilling go hand in hand in my wife's family. Hope you saw this before a family member requested that I edit it.

I really cannot believe how lucky I am to have won this great contest and amazing prizes. I'm kind of speechless with humble gratitude. I live 2 hours away and vacation every nice weekend (and more) on the mighty St. Lawrence river and have been to Canada many, many times. It is truly a second home to me. I've always loved Canadian coins with their great designs of natural beauty, like the famous sugar maple leaf and animals. This coin will be the center piece of my Canadian coin collection forever and past down to my children when I'm gone. I'm super excited about owning the postcards, with such nice views worldwide, interesting, humorous; and will cherish them. I must say it was difficult to pick a favorite but will pick DBM's postcard of Canadian landscape, anyone who looks out their window at that view is truly a blessed individual. All I can do now is show the dancing banana and Thank you again Mr.Ugly!
