Hi,

I attended a local house clearance auction last week and bought a small box of coins. I've uploaded the four most interesting, though it was really only the one that I was interested in.

This one looks almost as if it had circulated - which is odd as it's a commemorative in 0.5000 silver.

This one I'm going to do the unthinkable and clean it. It's only worth silver value - but it should wash up a bit so it's an opportunity for me to practice that.

This one is quite interesting, from the Swiss Canton of Vaud

But the one above is the one that cought my eye - simply because of the condition.

In total (there were a few lesser coins and a very worn crown (so a bit more silver) and I paid £23 + commission so I was quite happy. Not a real bargin or anything - but a couple of nice coins to add to the collection.

Nice coins, I like the 1807.
The older the better!

Hi,

Yes both the Vaud coin and the San Marino ones are lovely.

A pleasing set of coins. None of them need cleaning.

A very cool set of coins. I would have bid on them as well.
