Star Notes? Are They Worth It? - Coin Community Forum

Starsandbars New Member United States 9 Posts	Posted 06/03/2011 11:01 pm Hey all recently I have come into a quite a few star notes, nothing special as far as age or condition, but I was wondering if I could maybe make a little off of them and how much I could make? or if I should just be hanging on to them? but I mean I am getting quite a few like 5 a week about, Most dates are after 1996 and condition isn't usually much better than Very Fine, I will probably put up some pics if I can get a hold of a scanner. I already have 25 and I have only been at this for a couple of weeks so let me know what you think. Report this Post to the Staff

Americanamafia Pillar of the Community United States 672 Posts	Posted 06/03/2011 11:57 pm Modern circulated star notes are kinda worth a premium over face... if you can find a buyer... Now were only talking maybe 10-15cents over face IMO. This does not apply if they are consecutive #'s or "cool" numbers. If you have a bunch of them you may be able to sell them as a "Star Lot" say 50 bills for 60$, you might get a bite on that. If it helps I have a few, I think there cool but I don't think there worth much. and to CCF! Report this Post to the Staff

Many of our club members save them as a curiosity and realize the scarceness of them in the area. Yeah we know they have a small small premium, but they are fun. Report this Post to the Staff
