That is one of the coolest notes/serial combos a person could find.

The person that wrote on it should be tased.

Thanks all.

Zee, here is a wee bit only someone like you and few others would appreciate. Although you are not a fancy sn collector, based on available data of print runs since 1923 there are only 4 (including mine) such $2 notes (prefix, suffix, zero, one combo's, matching fed district). If you take 10101010 combo's then it's eight. In the purest form for binaries (alternating zero one) there are only 8 notes and how many of these 8 have survived is anyone's guess.

IF the SN was B 0101 0101 A then it would be viewed / looked at differently (Different die pair so to say). As a comparison series 2006 $1 (one dollar) print runs had 6 notes like this X 0101 0101 X (X = different fed district) .

So to summarize ONLY serious fancy SN collectors would appreciate the rarity / finer points of this note and all others just see a 01 combo note.

Ergo the scribbling is a mute point and rarity carries the note.

BTW, It's good / I am glad to see you around and best wishes.

EDIT typo in blue

That is really a cool note, if my memory serves me right that converted from binary to decimal will be 85.

I completely agree about the rarity. Obviously the note carries a sweet premium either way, I just hate seeing scribbles on such nice bills.

how did you come across this one?

Not Yet Nick. The laughing / crying part will come in when it hits the auction block on consignment with a minimum opening bid
at some point down the road.

Thank you BEP gods.
