I would love to believe that someone has a windfall placed into their lap, although most of the time it is a relative who unfortunately passes away (supposedly), or who stumbles upon an abandoned farm house, etc... I go to precious metals forums on occasion because I think the views are so extreme they are funny. Lots of the people there post about the precious metals they acquire. The more paranoid ones like to post their purchases also, but they always follow up with a story about a boating accident that caused a total loss of their purchase.
