Look at every single coin and assess value from there.

I agree. Hopefully this will mean that a lot of people would finally have one in hand. I am a firm believer that once you see one in hand, you will know the difference between the large and small date 1970-S cents.

The small dates were the hardest thing for me to tell the difference between. once I bought my small date I can tell the difference without even looking at a reference coin anymore.
