Not a chance in he-double-hockeysticks that is just a random occurrence. He knows someone.

US Mint press release about these quaters - https://www.usmint.gov/news/press-r...nce-quartersRandomly mixed in with other 2026 Declaration of Independence Quarters, these 250,000 special "July 4" quarters will be made available to banks and financial institutions nationwide in time for the Fourth of July. Does not sound that random to me if one person found that many.

Well, Guy At The Mint, I'll be happy to search for one. Only trouble is that 2026 is more than half over and I still haven't found a single 2026 coin in my change, much less one of your special quarters.
I asked at my bank and they said other customers who are coin collectors have expressed the same frustration.

I'm pretty disappointed with the whole rollout of the 2026 coins.
You'd think the mint would coordinate a nationwide distribution of all the coins, but instead it's the same localized 2019/2020 nonsense.
This could have been the year to spark a whole new generation of collectors, but I think it might end up being the last straw for many longtime enthusiasts.

Quote: He has to know somebody. I've been saying this was going to happen since this "distribution" was announced. Shades of what happened with the "distribution" of the first two coins in the 2019 W quarter fiasco. The mint trusted the armored carriers back then to "sprinkle" the coins into the counting machines. That didn't happen. They "sprinkled" them right to their friends, family and cohorts. The last 8 coins in the W releases were added in to the Ballistic Bags at the mint. Much better distribution occurred. You give people a way to cheat the system some will cheat it.

The prices are sliding fast. Now you can pick one up on ebay for under $300 Buy It Now price. I get a feeling that the prices will continue the slide. I just need to decide at what point to grab one for the collection.

42 boxes of quarters in 2 weeks. Nothing on the 2026 Independence day quarters. I have received 4 boxes of Revolutionary War quarter, 3 boxes of Mayflower Quarters, 1 odd box full of 2019 America Memorial Park with a lot of Ws which was an awesome score. 45 total. How can that box be in a bank vault for 6 years? A full box of Edith kanaka'ole quarters, the rest circulated quarters and minimal finds. 1 silver 1956 1 silver 1963 1 silver Mercury dime in a roll I actually found today, 2 Ws, 4 S Proofs, 5 NIFC S ATB Quarters, a Royal Caribbean Token and some DDRS AND DDOS. I'm about done looking for these July 4th quarters. I'll wait until they are 30.00 a piece and buy 1.

Looks tike the AMP quarters finally worked their way to the top of the quarter pile and ended up in your hands! Good luck for you! 45 AMP quarters is a great score in itself!
