I bought this recently from ebay and was wondering if anyone has any comments on the authenticity. The reason I ask is the edge is very worn out and the inscription is barely visible. The weight is 16.64g and the specification is 16.667g as per

Comparing to the above I don't see much issue with the look and feel. Also it resonates like silver, however as mentioned elsewhere this may not be a fool proof test.

It's probably OK. Some other coins of this type and time also have weakly impressed edges.

Hi Bacchus2, thanks for taking a look. I was concerned about the edge as it was so faint as if someone just scrape the edge all around. I think I will keep it and also I have my eyes on a lubeck 2 marks and Hesse 3 marks :)
