jerseyben Pillar of the Community United States 1211 Posts	Posted 01/19/2014 7:59 pm I was so busy studying and cataloging my colonial pickups that I forgot something else: 1826 Bust Half Dollar I normally stay far from coins like this because I have almost no knowledge of them. Generally, they just don't speak to me. Well, THIS ONE spoke to me, so I bought it. Not every day does an opportunity to buy such a nice looking coin present itself to me. I believe it to be original surfaces and problem free. I see no hairlines when viewed under UV light/loupe. The only issue I could find was a very tiny hit on the cheek. I see a nice obverse die crack from the top stars to the cap. I see another smaller die crack along the right lower stars. Maybe someone who knows Overton numbers could look this one up for me, please? Also, I would grade it EF-40. Opinions? Report this Post to the Staff

Another from star 10 to lower curl. Reverse die crack through UNITE and along scroll to S OF AM. I think XF 40 or 45. Report this Post to the Staff

There is not enough light on the subject for me to use my Overton book. If it is O-108 then it is R1. I would pay XF 45 for it. Report this Post to the Staff
