1973 D No F Of FG Kennedy Half Dollar

Here is what I think is a missing F from the designer's initials FG on the Reverse on a 1973 D Uncirculated Kennedy half dollar. My book says that some 1973 D Kennedy's have this error. This is similar to the No FG that I have shown also.

Not uncommon, it appears to be struck by a filled die.

There is a chance that the F was "abraded" away by an over zealous die polishing job done after a die clash.

Beside the 1982 P No FG, there is a known variety on 1972 D halves where the FG is missing from the die.

When one letter is missing, its usually a filled die or the die polishing scenario.
