No way I'm dropping that kind of money when the rest of the coins are worth like $8 tops, so figured I would share.

What do you think? Seems very porous to me, and I don't like the lack of reverse pictures.

Shady for sure.

If the Vitellius was real, you'd think he would have a picture of both sides. But instead, he offers it with some pocket change. I guess the potential victim is supposed to think they are discovering the "diamond in the rough".

Or, maybe it really is genuine but the reverse is a mess and he is just trying to maximize price by distracting potential buyers with some useless pocket change.

I have seen far mor fakes of Vitellius coins than I have seen of genuine examples.

From the pictures it is hard to tell but the legends look clumsy at best, can't discern any flow lines and the surface looks a bit grainy.

Surface and legend look suspicious even with such a small and poor picture. I'd stay far away from that one.
