Set your scope to the lowest x,your scope says it goes down to a 10x. Then get a coin the size of a silver dollar,32mm.
Get some books and start stacking them until you can focus the pic,that's what I do. As to the lights,I blocked off all but one. I left the one at the 12k position and put a filter on that one. I use either sunlight or a hand held LED flashlight.

Some of the 'better' microscopes do focus out to infinity - if so you can shoot (at lower and lower equivalent magnification) pretty much anything you want.
