1949 Jefferson Nickel - Cuds? - Coin Community Forum

Firebird17732 New Member United States 25 Posts	Posted 04/28/2021 02:42 am Three weird areas on the reverse of this Jefferson nickel: 1) raised on rim & damage on edge at C in AMERICA, 2) raised on rim & some damage on edge at O in OF, and 3) Cud (?) inside rim at about 10:00. Is there any edge damage near the area shown in the fourth pic? TNG Bedrock of the Community United States 10284 Posts	Posted 04/28/2021 08:04 am Cuds go from the rim inward into the coin obverse or reverse surface and don't have damage on the edge of the coin do they? The picture from here the field doesn't look cracked. I'm not sure if that is how to tell if it's a pre Cud or Cud. We're here to learn. Let me know if I need more learning please.
