I purchased an NGC slabbed 2004 Wisconsin "Low Leaf" quarter a while back (MS64) and am wondering now if I will be regretting this purchase...I just have never felt "right" about this coin.
I paid $125 for the coin, which seems an "okay" deal. However I am wondering what thoughts are out there in the Coin Community regarding the prospects for this coin moving forward.
Did I make a good choice purchasing this as a long term investment? My thought is to trade down the line for a coin I really want. I'm just not in love with this quarter.
Does any one know what pop reports are showing so far on these low and high leaf varieties? I saw some older articles only talking about mintage of these being guesstimated around 1,000 originally and then after the investigation they said it could be as many as 50,000 that got out. So any idea what the actual number might be?
Either way, matthew, I would say if you don't love it, don't keep it. I would love to find one in circulation, but would not purchase one slabbed.
