I was at the shop today and was picking up a 2012 silver proof set and he was saying that the mint may change the silver proofs from 90% to .999 like the ASEs
anyone else heard of this?

Interesting. I haven't heard anything about this. The mint does make the 5 oz pucks with ATB designs that are .999. I found this article on CoinWorld from about a year ago.

It looks like the legislation has been signed to allow this, but I don't see anything about the mint actually making any. I'm interested to hear if anyone has more information.

I highly doubt it. If they upped the silver content they would up the price and advertise it since it would make it more desirable to some people
