PCGS Grading Standard Vs Australian Grading Standard

oh my florin Pillar of the Community Australia 1006 Posts	Posted 03/08/2013 11:05 pm Hi I was just wondering what is the general difference between PCGS grading and Australian grading. For example is a coin graded vf-20 considered vf in Australia? or as fine? I am asking because I am heavily interested in a coin that is graded XF-45 by PCGS and was wondering wether it would hold its EF grade in the Australian market? If you are unable to do this then you have to learn for yourself how to cross-grade coins from Sheldon the Aussie grades, ignore the prefix on the slabbed coins is the best way and take note of the number assigned to the coin Remember 1 is junk and 70 is perfect.
