Just wanted to post these up. Had them for about 6 years from a mint roll. I just love looking at them.

Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam, where the deer and the antelope play.
I am sitting on a few unopened rolls myself. One day the ground will rumble and dust will rise over the horizon.
I saw the winning design for the obverse was actually cropped version of another proposed entry.
I kind of wish they would have used the full bust instead. I like the reverse.

No reverse pic?

Thanks for sharing that info NickelGuy, I was not aware of that. I'm undecided as to which I like better. All I know is the 2005 Bison is my favorite post-2003 design and I really wish they would have continued to mint it.

Oh I would be happier by a mile with the Bison, even with that obverse over this current face forward Jefferson nickel.
I just think of the Mt Rushmore face when I see it and I'm OK.
At least nobody is crawling on his face on the nickel. LOL

I always knew I didn't like the face-forward Jefferson and I recently discovered why. I'll have to get some pics before I explain it.

Meanwhile...
