on this side is the dent, and you can just make out a 6 on the date.

It appears to be a British penny. I'd say 1860's. Something was forced into the metal to make that dent. Could have been a bunch of things. Interesting find.

That is a George III half penny. He was king 1760-1820. Not all the half pennies are the same design for George III. That one is probably a 1806.

Yep, looks like an 1806 type to me - Triggersmob's current avatar is an unpunched example.

Looks like some foreign object is down the bottom of the hole in the king's neck. I think he's been shot!
