I compared it side by side with another 1945 S and also next to the actual 1946 S Inverted mint mark

to the CCF

There was no inverted S mint mark in 1945, only in 1946.8
That is the correct mm, it is called a Ball Serif.

I agree with the folks above.
Also, an attribution for a new variety would most likely need a specimen without circulation flattening and wear.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

I agree.

The Ball Serif S, also called the Knob S, has a few distinguishing features on the top and bottom. The lower curve has a keyhole shape. The termination is flared and flat on the end. Some Knob S mintmarks have a big, flat mermaid tail while others have a skinny termination, but the shape is always the same. The top curve is easily identified by the flat middle section that runs almost vertically on the inside. The knob termination is a teardrop shape that connects to this vertical line. Particularly on the skinny Knob S mint mark, this narrow connection point can wear away from striking or get clogged by grease, leading to a disconnected serif.

If you check out the Classic U.S. Coins variety forum, there are many examples of 1945 Inverted S Mercury dimes where the shape of the mint mark is discussed. Also check out Tropicalbats post on the 1946-S Wheat cent with Inverted S, his pictures are quite good.
