I found this 1987 penny coin roll hunting. It appears to have considerable doubling. I have trouble seeing some of the doubling people post that states it is dd. Thoughts?

Not a doubled die, it is Die Deterioration Doubling.

Not my field DD and DDD but I learn from this example. On the same side of the coin one D is W on liberty and Year has E.

Nice clear example for me. I will look also in COOP academy.

What would you do with such a coin? What is a fair price? I am certainly an amateur and do not know the different error names for the different errors. Thanks for this great site and expert advice. A great learning tool.

Another clue to Die Deterioration is the emergence of the (obverse) ridge ring--evident running through IGWT.
