Purchased today wondering if this could be a inverted 9/9. I know it's a bit worn and cleaned . What do you guys think? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

It sure looks like one it has all the markers to be sure I would need in hand to look at the 9. I think it is one from your pictures

The markers look close, but I see nothing between the tail and the upper loop. Inside the loop I don't think anything is there, but hard to tell from the photo.

Yes it is. Nice find! Once you get the crud out of the 9, you should see the inverted 9 loop.

I started out collecting Canada small cents, 1970 or 71, sold them to my uncle when I turned 16 (1973). Bought a 1967 Mercury Cougar.

Mind if I venture a guess at grading the coin?

My first inclination was VF rev. and F obv. but I found a site with grading pics of Canad Lg. cents and now I believe the rev is F+ and obv is VG. Overall VG+.

Guess I'm going to try to find my cousin and see if by chance he still has those coins I sold his father so long ago.
Believe I found an ad in GRIT magazine and bought them from a dealer in Florida.
