Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 76004 Posts	Posted 10/11/2024 12:24 pm I bought this off of ebay for cheap. It costed me 6.57 plus 4.75 for shipping. It shows a Die Crack on the south end, a Retained Interior Die Break, and a Cud. Here's what Mike said when I emailed him about this coin. I originally thought it was a Split Die error, but it turns out it's even better than what I thought it was. Quote: Hi Dave. Beginning at its southern end, you have a die crack that meets a retained interior die break that, in turn, merges with a triangular Cud (or Retained Cud). It is interesting to me how much circulation wear occurred before someone recognized the potential increased numismatic value. I suppose that speaks to differences in the US and Indian coin markets.
