Hi
I'm new at this, but these two lines leading out from the first E in George look like a error to me.
Thoughts?

If they are recessed, indents, below the flat of the coin, they are just scratches, post mint damage PMD, happened after it left the mint. If they are raised, above the field of the coin, then they may be die cracks, which happened when it was struck. They look like scratches to me but hard to say for sure without more pics at different angles.

Wow those follow-up photos really help...makes me feel confident that those are scratches. Lets see what others say.

It is definitely not about a scratch, I will show the source of light and refraction that indicate that the scratch is a groove. If the question mark was elevated, then the light would be refracted against it.

I hope you will be able to understand what he was talking about and what he showed in the photo. Legend: Yellow color indicates light, red is shadow, green is the depression between light and shadow.

Looks like it's probably just a few scratches.
If it's die polishing at the very least my one doesn't have it.
