wheatguy Pillar of the Community United States 1534 Posts	Posted 10/12/2009 7:12 pm I am sure NCCG is one of the those basement slabbers, which means the dime should be nowhere near MS-70. If the dime was certified by any of the top TPG's, it would definitely be worth a lot of money. Although you can't lose much by paying $2.50, don't ever buy a coin certified by any of those self-slabbers. Is there any way you can give us some pics? Report this Post to the Staff

A pocket change dime is worth approx. 10¢. if it were 2 years earlier it would have atleast been silver and worth more but a 66 is clad so its probably just going to be worth face Report this Post to the Staff

Not saying it isn't MS-70, just saying that many coins seem to appear MS-70 and that a true 1966 MS-70 dime would be very rare and valuable. Pics would be helpful. Report this Post to the Staff
Bryan1315 Bedrock of the Community United States 14454 Posts	Posted 10/12/2009 9:05 pm m,s-70 is very hard to come by with circulated coins, you may find some commemorative coins in MS-70 but I doubt you will find a MS-70 anything (except the one Lincoln Cent ) thats not satin finish or something like that from a Top TPG Report this Post to the Staff

When I went to my usual local coin shop he broke the news to me but then offered to give me a deal on another coin I had my eye on so I wouldn't feel to put out. I wrote it up to a lesson learned and will only consider slabs from the top TPGs. At least it was only $2.50. Report this Post to the Staff
