Wow - 3 great coins, congratulations.

I agree that your original photo of the 1889-CC Morgan makes it look way overgraded. Your 2nd set of photos helps clarify, but still maybe a bit overgraded. Perhaps it received a key date boost.

Well, all I can say is that I showed it to a lot of different people at the coin show after I purchased it, and every single one who saw it in hand agreed that it was graded correctly.

Very impressive acquisitions, I'm impressed. Thanks for sharing. The dime has me scratching my head, with no mention of the markings/graffiti?

As I posted under the pictures:

Quote:
[I'm told, btw, that what appear to be scratches are actually "adjustment marks," since these early coins were made by hand and they often needed to remove a little metal at the end in order for the coin to not be overweight. The grading company didn't mention anything about scratches or damage, so I guess that's true.]

I agree...until you posted new picks of the 89-CC I thought WAY over graded.
I think EF-40 is right on!

I have no reply for the 1/2 dime...way out of my wheelhouse.

But...the 1877 IHC!
What The Who The!
Incredable!

Great pick-up's!
Congrats and Thanks for sharing!
