Chase Bank has not been very helpful. I think they must despise coin collectors. I'm guessing some of the collectors that have tried to get/give coins there may be annoying, or obnoxious, or rude jerks. None of the tellers would ever spend 60 seconds to look at the ends of their new quarter rolls to see if they could find a liberty bell on them. "I'm not going to do that," or "I don't have time to do that," are the common responses. What? Most of them time there's no one in the bank but me! What the hell else do they have to do? What about customer service?
Anyway, I ordered a $500 box of quarters, hoping to get some of the 2026 quarters, especially the Independence Day quarter, and I got a total of maybe 20 out of the 2000 I checked, and only ONE of those was the July 4th quarter - without the privy mark, darn it. :) The other 1800 quarters were just a mix of mostly 1970s-2024. I did actually find one West Point 2020 quarter, but it's in Good/Fine condition, and probably not worth a whole lot. I also got a Canadian silver quarter from 1963. That's about it. I even looked for error coins (within reason - I didn't spent hours and hours doing this). But no luck.
What I'm still very confused about is how people are getting brand new rolls of the July 4th quarter, especially the BOXES full of them. I wish there was a way to order them from ANY bank. We can always order them from the mint - but it costs a LOT more money because of the friggin' markup. Does anyone have any other hints or tips on how to find rolls of the new July 4 quarters, trading cash for coins directly?
