Howdy Coin Folks,

I purchased a PCGS PR65, slabbed 1955 Washington quarter proof. This coin seems to have been taken from a proof set. I checked the PCGS guide, but can't find out the value. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Warm coin collecting regards,

Jerkyg

If I'm reading the PCGS price guide properly online, it looks like PR65 is a $30 value. Of course, I may not be looking at the correct thing. Here is the link, judge for yourself:

My CoinValues for December shows the proof 65 at $17 but then again I could be looking at the wrong thing myself? If nothing else this will give you some idea of how different the price range can be in various publications. I think your best bet would be to find someone with access to a Grey Sheet and consider that price as set in stone! Its weekly, current and up to date!

The Proof's are under the "circulation strikes" on the PCGS page, here is a snapshot of the price guide from PCGS's website. Their prices are usually on the high side because they are high retail prices so please keep that in mind
