Once again I was searching the interweb for coins, and came across this.

I immediately had some concerns. 1: They had no State Quarters in 1976
2: You can see impact marks on the missing E

Your right something is off... There are a lot of marks around the "error". The date could have just been a typo but plays into the feel of the coin

Definitely Struck Through Grease. Obviously he can't read dates on the coin.

It is currently selling for $2.80. Not sure why someone would pay that much for one, especially on bad photos.
