Are the 2012 Chaco Culture Silver Bullion Coins being sold now, I thought I saw this coin came out recently to dealers, but I don't see it being sold anywhere?

Teach, the Chaco bullion was released earlier in the week to the APs. APMEX has them listed as in stock for shipping by 7/6. Still nothing yet on the Provident Metals site, but they should be listed there soon.

Thanks Bizy! I saw APMEX is asking $159 right now. I checked Provident and still nothing there. I think I will wait and see what Provident will be asking.

Hey, Teach, NP. Just FYI, I'm waiting for Provident to list, too. Their coins don't seem to be cherry picked like APMEXs, about $6/$7 less per coin, and shipping is $8.95 for one coin to APMEX's $12.95 shipping for the same single coin. Much better deal, though if you were buying other PMs in unusual forms, APMEX is the place to go. But not for common bullion such as these pucks.

Yep, add me to the list of folks waiting for Provident. The only thing I worry about, though, is the fact that silver prices seem to be going up again and the "lock in" price is getting higher and higher the longer I wait...

I paid a little more, probably because I opted to pay by credit card...

Has anybody picked up a Chaco Culture Silver Bullion coin yet? Just wondering how it looks to you if you did already receive one. Still waiting for my order to clear from the check I sent to Provident.

Chaco is my least favorite of the 5 designs of 2012. Gonna be a make or break year for the series as a whole. People that bought the coins in 2010 and 2011 are sitting on the sidelines on the 2012s. Most of the recognized name parks have been issued, the Mint is starting to dig deep into the Tier two parks/sites, a couple more years, the unknowns will start being issued. If Ag doesn't break out this year, the Mint will be hard pressed to sell 20K of the El Yunque bullion, maybe 15K of the Chaco and Acadia, and under 10K for the last two bullion releases. The APs are reluctant to tie up cad in these slow moving pucks.
The collector coin has a similar uphill battle, too many coins this year at 25,000 each, and still too high of a premium. If these are made next year, expect a smaller mintage, perhaps 15,000 or a mint to demand window. I'll pick up Chaco when Acadia debuts or when Ag starts inching past $33/oz., whichever comes first.

Getting ahead of the curve: Provident now has a page for Acadia, which should probably appear for sale at the beginning of August: http://www.providentmetals.com/2012...k-maine.htmlLooks like the bullion releases are in lock step with the uncirculated P pucks, about 5-6 weeks apart in release dates. By that estimation, Volcanoes should arrive mid-September and Denali by late October.

I like that the premium is under ASEs.
