Genuine Hitler 50 Pfennig Token? - Coin Community Forum

worldnumis Pillar of the Community United States 731 Posts	Posted 02/29/2012 12:19 pm No official German coins were ever minted with Hitler's portrait and most of the tokens seen today are fantasies, but this token looks like a genuine piece of some sort, probably issued in the early 1930s. It is approx. 18m.m., medal alignment, bronze, and weighs 2.3 grams. Denomination is 50 opferpfennig. Would appreciate any info from anyone familiar with this item. Report this Post to the Staff

Juno Moneta New Member United States 8 Posts	Posted 07/08/2022 7:20 pm As a collector of these Opferpfennig and Spende Marks you can find all the known information at my Moneta Coins Museum at: http://www.moneta-coins.com/photopo...pper&cat=641 In that category you'll find the 30 and 50 Opferpfennig in various alloys (Brass & copper colored) and well as the rare One Mark piece w/ Hitler portrait. These are to only denominated Hitler portrait "coins" that were struck. They were fundraiser pieces for the 3rd Reich during the existence of the SA. Interesting and very scarce in nice condition.
