i just bought 12 florins of ebay a few weeks ago for $73 and then got them graded by a dealer as around vf/ef I have looked through the mcdonalds guide but heard it isn't all that reliable so can anybody please tell me what they would be worth? btw the dates are 1951-1963 no commemorative florins where in it

oh my florin, the bullion value for those 12 florins would be around $66 anyway, if you got a nice 1956 in that lot you would be ahead. It's good to see another florin collector. Fair priced paid I reckon

I work on $5 per post 45 florin and $9 for pre. I think you did OK.

There's nothing worth more than bullion in that date range in VF, the 1951/52/53/54/56 in EF command premiums over bullion in the retail market but are also bullion coins wholesale. That being said bullion is $60 so you only paid a little over wholesale.

p.s also would just like to confirm another purchase I made I bought a 1942s 1943s and a 1944s florin which seemed like a great deal at the time in gEF to aUNC?

You should get an UNC 1944-S, if you shop hard enough you can get them for around $15, they're very common.
