There has been alot of compelling arguments for the UNC coins, so I swapped them around as I tend to agree. For daniels, I retired to a small coal mining town in northeast PA. Thanks again for all the help as I'll probably need it as I fill up my other danscos.

I hate to disagree with a fellow member but the Lincoln cents did indeed have a satin finish.

Just as a 'sanity' check, I made a quick hop to ebay and saw a couple of hundred pcgs and ngc slabbed "satin" coins.

Never mind that I did a quick check of my own coins.......

The "s" circulating coins to my way of thinking are already in Dansco's ATB album (including proof) #8146. It already includes the silver and uncirculated proof coins.
Incorrect. It has holes for the silver and clad proof coins.

Quote:
To my knowledge there is no difference between either the uncirculated proof or circulated coins.
Yes there is. One is a proof. The other is a business strike.

Quote:
Can anyone tell the difference between the two once they are out of either their mint holder or roll?
Yes, the proof will have an obvious cameo: mirrored fields and frosted devices.

Quote:
The "s" circulated coin is NIFC. Just like the current Kennedy halves.
Correct, these new Uncirculated S mint quarters are NIFC, just like the Kennedy half dollar.
