I hope that on yours the berry to the right of the E in ONE is in the center of the letter and not at the top. (NC-3 12 known, Finest known is a VG-8.) 220 and 223 are common but not in higher grade, still it will have to make an EAC VF-20 before you come out ahead. And as for the comment that if it was a three error he would be ok if it was a F-12, that is true if it is the COMMON three error. The three error comes as two different varieties the S-219 which is common and the S-218 which is very rare. I just bought an AG 218 for $950 and I think I got a bargin. The last one I saw sell before that was a Fr-2 for $1300. Report this Post to the Staff

I took it to the Charlotte Money Show today and spoke to most of the grading services - all of them sight corrosion from the years of contact with the wood frame as a reason for NOT slabbing the coin. ANACS will net grade it - but it is likely to get a VF type net grade even though it is EF for wear. The history of the coin seems to be of no interest whatsoever. Report this Post to the Staff
