Just finished reading an article in Coin Values magazine about the 1964 D Peace dollar. It says that 316,076 of these were struck but never released to the public, instead they were melted. According to the article, rumors persist that some mint employees may have gotten some before the melt occurd. What are the odds that one of these will ever appear? If someone does have one, I hope they never take it to be authenticated by the Gov't.

If one exists it would be certainly hidden from public eyes until some heir takes it to a coin dealer without knowing its signifigance.

Good news for you is that this reference will be 10 pages away when we hit that date again this year, so it should be clear of peoples minds. Except for the folks that fell for it last year of course....

Bobby, I know we moved the clocks ahead 3 weeks early this year. Does this mean we moved the calender ahead about three weeks as well?LOL Mike
