2000-P And 1977 Low 5 Cents Question

Coin Chick Pillar of the Community Canada 1354 Posts	Posted 06/26/2012 3:18 pm Hello.. A question in regards to these 2 - 5 cent pieces. Is anyone saving the 2000P 5 cent pieces they find in circulation? Even though they aren't in pristine condition their mintage is lower than the 1970 one....mintage is 4,899,000. Is anyone saving their 1977 low 5 cent circulation pieces? I have lots and wasn't sure if I should separate them from the high 7's. Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

My intentions with these and all coins are for my kids to enjoy when I'm long gone and in 60 + years when my kid have kids these coin may have value of some sort. They may not be worth much in my lifetime but would be something for my grandchildren or great grandchildren. If I get the 2000p in my change ,I just throw them in a jar with other "saveable" coins. As to the 77's, I just save them all together in circulated rolls and add them to my pure nickel hoard Report this Post to the Staff
