Called the mint this morning. I was told my set would be shipped 'sometime' next week.
I'm not holding my breath.

Either they received another batch from the Mint or those sets were withheld so that they can be sold at a higher price? $300 seem to be the selling price for most sellers, a nice double. Anybody think it will go higher or lower in 6 months?

I cannot see these coins going above $300. There is an emotional these hold and more than $300 seems high. Only time woll tell.

Continue to go up. 9 of the last 11 ebay sales were $330-$350. It rebroke the $300 barrier.

With Christmas coming I believe it will go up, at least in the short term, who knows after that.

I wish they would figure out how to expedite things better. I just ordered 2 new release coins from the Perth Mint and they shipped within a week.

Did you get the awesome Christmas coin with the gems? I did. That was the only one I was after. I bought the high relief snake as well.

Quote: I was charged with taxes from FedEx but I'm going to see if I can get my money back. ksimms3: do a search on rfd for "CBSA duty/taxes/handling reimbursement for Tax Exempt items, HOW-TO" you'll find some useful information for getting your taxes and duties back.

@coinchick: I decided to pass on that one since I'm never a fan of any xmas coins produced from any mint. Although a family member of mine has been collecting Canadian Mint products since the beginning of time haha, so I think I might pull the trigger and purchase that coin as a gift.
@lostwords: I was reading up on a form I had to fill up, I hope it works out!

I ordered the PM budgie coin and a nice display box for the whole series from Talismancoin. I am a little worry now. Many people complaint this dealer. :(

My credit card was finally charged for some penny sets, so anyone out there I owe I set to, you should expect to get an email next week when I ship.

@Bibo I dealt recently with Talisman, the shipping was a little long but other then that it was pretty straight forward and easy to deal with them. Not to mention I find they have the best prices.

@bibo: I heard that too. I've ordered the 5 penny coin set from them and hadn't heard back. They apparently have a bad rep for pre-order that are hot items. They only ship out if the item is not hot on ebay and if the item is hot on ebay, they don't apparently don't ship those out and sell them on ebay. This is my first time ordering from them. Why did you not order from Perth Mint? They sell the display case there as well. I guess you only buy one Budgies and did not met the $100 limit for free shipping
