Log Potato - I can't believe its been three & 1/2 years since Maddie's Birthday !! My Dad was also born in 1917 - but he left us in 2008. He was an inspiration and loved coins as much as I do. Barbers were his favorite, too. Its been ages since I sold you the 1905 Quarter - I'd love to see it again !! I spotted this 1892-S Ty 1 Quarter in a PCGS 58 Holder last night - no CAC [yet] - not a screamer either - very subtle. I had a nice one in my 1st set - it sold - a friend bought it off a dealer - I asked to buy it back [ friend forgot ] and I have been searching for 5 years .... Believe me, I have seen nicer 58's, but I have not seen a Type One 92-S in 58 since mine sold. Its off to CAC and then to Valente151 to get imaged... The slab shot shows tons of luster...

Spotted a nice 1905-S Half - PCGS 53 on ebay the other day. I put in an offer which was accepted - and a good friend agreed to buy my XF 45. The newp:   The one I sold: { images are pre-CAC approval}

I located this 1909-O Dime in PC 58 today - the images are terrible - but I'll have my friend Valente151 reshoot the images:

This PCGS Proof Barber Half is a new addition. I've been looking for a nice Proof Barber Half for some time, without major flaws, but without being over the 2k-3k range, and this fit in nicely.

Adam...I hear you about Proof Barber halves...they can be very expensive in mid PR grades. What grade did they assign your 1894 ? I have been searching for common dated Dimes I need for my "Everyman" set at PCGS Registry. Today, I decided to add this 1892 Phila issue - in PC 58 - the OBV is well toned but, the REV seems very lustrous with a faint rim tone. Yes, the images are terrible - but I am sure the coin will hold its own when I get it. I think I only paid a very slight premium for it and I believe the toning will be much nicer in hand than in the images.

Thanks for the follow up, Adam. I have found that Proofs are hard to grade from just images alone... I picked up a couple of newps today... a nice 1903-O Dime in PCGS 62 - { I have an AU 58 } I also nabbed a nice Proof Nickel for my budding V nickel Proof Set...

Man, those Barber coins are VERY pretty when AU or better. What a beautiful design! You all have great examples!

Adam - I really like the new images - it looks like "fire and ice" - very attractive. Nothing major as I have a decent AU 58 found by my Grandfather eons ago...- but - I thought this was undergraded: Also, I love the toning and its in an OGH !!
