since dealing with pcgs is really difficult for a canadian company, my guess american bullion dealer. in early december had a discucion with canadian coin over these gold coins, they differ on how to market them with the RCM at one point was going to handle some hand selects, but now are not going to sell any of these coins

thanks John for replying . If we don't get coins at least equal to those already graded ,I am not going to be very happy.

i did not order any of theses coins, was waiting for a dealer to stock and see the coin in hand first due to the RCM no return semi graded but not graded system. Now with all these highly graded pcgs units eventually hitting the marketplace, how unfair is this type of marketing to the little guys.

Let's use the PCGS data for another purpose. Do you think these early submissions means they were cherry-picked pieces? That stats don't suggest that......so, let's begin with the $10's....PCGS has graded a total of 1600 'gold reserve' $10's (141,373,1086) resulting in 94 MS 62 or 6%, 1,362 or 85% in MS63, and 144 or just 9% in MS 64. I don't see any grading results lower than a 62, nor higher than a 64, which invites other questions. From what I have seen, it appears that the graded results show the normal population stats for a premium select coin.

Where did the thousands of coins that have been graded come from?

Either allot of people, who are not CCF members, received their coins and sent them to be graded, or the BoC/RCM sent a few thousand to be graded, or someone got priority access to the hoard before their sale to the public.

I vote for number 3, and it follows that if someone got priority access, then they would select the better coins to be graded.

Here is are the stats from the $5's: Total graded by PCGS 463 (145,144,174) with the grading breakdown as follows: 5 MS 62's or 1%, 328 MS 63's or 71%, 123 MS 64's or 26.5% and 7 MS65's or 1.5%....perhaps that explains why so few PS $5 were offered to us. Another thing, many of these coins have been cross- graded, unless I'm interpreting the PCGS site incorrectly.
