Curious Dawg, does your Gorgon have a Bull on the flip-side?

I have another gorgon, but it has the anchor on the flip-side ...

Oh, and David Sear verified that this Gorgon-Anchor coin is authentic (oh, and that reminds me => I got the paperwork back for my Rose Incuse Square => it was also authenticated by David Sear ... yiippppeeeee!!)

Here's an older thread with one. And in this thread from earlier this year, several folks compare theirs with a fake one.

There certainly were a wide variety of interpretations on how to depict a gorgon. I'm always amused by the dichotomy: beautiful coins trying to depict the ugliest creature in Greek mythology.

I dont think the last one you posted is a Gorgon but rather the front facing Apollo!
