Is This An Error Or Normal- Wheat Penny

Nuffin2lose New Member United States 11 Posts	Posted 01/09/2013 03:02 am So at first glance it looks to be a nick or sheer on the N. But when looking closer its just kinda strange. Almost like the top of the N has melted down . I don't know , don't have a lot of experience in error coins nor do I grade coins so never really scrutinized a coin to such degrees . Any info helps. I tend to see a lot of these with similar damage involving the date. People have posted coins with the number 1 actually laying sideways. PS we're in the wrong thread. Report this Post to the Staff

You can see that the N was originally intact and at some point the N got pushed down or did some other melting action. It is evident by the dark spot in place of where the N should be.
