Box #3 yielded more typical results although still good: 1942, 1943(2), 1946, 1951, 1952, 1953(3), 1955(4), 1956(4), 1957(5), 1958(6), 1959(6). Found 14 wheat cents including a 1925. Oddly enough I haven't found a 1954 today but I find that date is hit or miss.

Finished Box #4 and I am tired! Not as many older finds but a couple great surprises. Found 7 wheat cents including a 1918 and a 1919 with an obliterated reverse. Found a Chinese coin, 2 dimes and one roll of nickels! From the nickels pulled a 1963, 1964 and a nice condition 1965. Earlier Canadian finds were: 1942, 1943, 1950(2), 1952(2), 1956, 1957(2), 1958(2), 1959. One of the 1952's is full red MS grade. Found another 2006 Magnetic No Logo which makes 4 found in total and found my first 2006 P Magnetic.

What did $132 in toonies get me? 2012 x11 2013 x5 (they are out there!) 1996-2006 x1 1999 Nunavut x1 2000 Knowledge x1 And, this is exciting: An impaired proof-like 2005 toonie (left toonie is only presented for comparison)! It must have been cut out of its mint set and spent. This is a first for me! I doubt it's worth anything over $2 but I'll keep it anyway.

While I was back home north of the 49th for Christmas I was able to get some CRH in. Nothing much interesting from the nickels... Out of 5 rolls of quarters there were a few commemoratives I needed, but in the last roll was this one! My first Canadian silver quarter find

Picked up 4 boxes and 3 rolls at the bank today. The teller also gave me a 1949 and a 1960 that she found. I went through the first box and 3 rolls and found an interesting 1999 which looks like tiny gas bubbles under the surface. In hand the coin almost looks like someone painted it with glitter. Also found a 1939, 1942, 1946, 1947ML, 1953, 1957(3) and a 1959. I found 3 wheat cents and a 2009 American. I haven't been saving the 2009's but I figure for 1 cent I can't go wrong so I will start setting them aside. Also found a dime, a 2 euro cent and a 2009 cent from the Bahamas.

Went through box #2. Probably the worst results I've gotten from a box so far. I'm fairly sure it was picked through already. In the last roll I found a 1953 Canadian which was the only older Canadian find. Also found 4 wheat cents and a 2009 U.S.

Finished Box number 4 and basically got skunked. Only notable find was a 1968 MS grade Canadian cent which was the oldest Canadian find in the box :(. Also found a nice condition 1962 US. Noticed 2000, 2004 and 2010 non magnetic cents that also had a bit of the rough/bubbled look as I found with the 1999 above. It's possible that the cause is environmental but I'm not sure. Will be on the lookout for more examples.

Sorry for jumping in so late in the game.
Nearly two weeks ago a friend of mine completed his quest of searching and documenting 1,250 rolls of circulation quarters obtained mostly from TD Bank since they have their free coin counter handy and were quite accommodating.
While it made for a great report and spoke volumes about the success of the Mint's ARP, it was a great deal of fun particularly when the strange and unexpected were mixed in with the mundane.
For anyone that's interested in some of the highlights, I think he's still got tons of followers on Twitter. #GreatQuarterStudy

^^^ I read all about it in the newsletter. ^^^ :) I don't have the patience or interest in putting that much time into pennies as he did with quarters but I enjoyed reading the results!

Went through 4 Canadian dime rolls and 5 nickles. Was almost scoreless till I checked the U.S.coins. Amazing how not a lot of people look up here for U.S. Left to right: 1964 1963 1946
