Just curious, regardless as to what anyone collects, do you have a preference for toned or untoned coins. I have a ton of both and have some very nice toned Franklins, Roosevelts and Peace dollars. When I get the chance I'll try to get up some pics.

Have a great one everybody!

Some I do and some I don't. If it's a solid one color tone that covers the entire coin I don't think it has as much eye appeal as a multicolored tone.

Unfortunately I also can't see the true beauty as others because I am colorblind. So if I can see a tone in something I am quite pleased.

I'll see if I can post some foreign coin examples that are Brass and Copper.

19th century UNC's should have some tone and not appear to have been cleaned. 19th century circulated better NOT be white unless high-end AU's and then they better not appear messed with.

Auld

The first 2 are beautiful but I don't see anything in the 3rd one.

Ignorance is NOT bliss when it comes to coins.

I'm about to buy a toned 1819 Bust half. It's blue with some red on the reverse. I'll post pictures once I get it, it looks pretty awesome.
