Do you think they are worth keeping? I don't know much about them but I just found a 1999p LMC trail die so I'm curious.

I have a few LMC trail dies--I would keep them. Maybe they'll get popular in the future?
I also have the earliest known trail dies coin--from 1869.

That's awesome. This one has very noticeable trails on over half of the reverse elements so I thought it was pretty cool.

I found three close ones on that site but couldn't match the markers.

If a single collector can easily amass a thousand of them, what points to their collectability?

I have tons of them too. I know I won't get rich on trail dies or bar on columns but they are fun to find non the less.If I only stayed in this hobby to find rare, high dollar value coins I might as well retire from the hobby all together.

EDIT: Forgot to mention Wavy Steps,I have several hundred of them as well.

I found and own the 2000p 1der14t pictured on traildies.com. I like them and have a bunch more but that one is the most extreme one I have.

Well bars and doubling are Hub Doubling....aka....Doubled Dies. It stands to reason the more severe the Doubled Dies/Trail Dies...combined with the number of coins minted with that variety will impact the value. Supply and demand.
