ammobill10 - the gold plated one might turn out well. I question the 1881, since it's been cleaned and is scratched.

Sorry guys for the lack of a update lately. My Ike dollar is riding in my wallet and my silver eagle is on a toning rotation at the moment. I been wearing shorts a lot and afraid they could slide out so its break time for the eagle. It's taking a spring holiday in a old 1930's tathered pulp comic book I bought at salvage.

Anyone else having an issue like this with their pocket pieces? 2 of my small grinders and my Ellis Island seem to have developed a "partial collar strike" effect to them. I first noticed it on my $20 for $20 and thought maybe that was just how Canada struck these coins but I check my $20 for $20 Batman VS Superman when it came and the reeding was normal. I then thought maybe the constant hammering of the coins against each other was causing the rims to peen over on the reeding. I try to keep a grinder between each of of the dollars. So I could see how the small ones might get hammered but then why is the Ellis Island dollar starting to do it? Reverse proof Roosevelt Bugs Bunny $20 for $20 Ellis Island dollar How the pocket is usually stacked

Well, it seems right to expect a coin to wear (or more accurately, take a beating) in all three dimensions.
