I suspect it would be near impossible to confirm one way or the other if the clip is less than 10% and the foreign planchet is close to same weight?

XRF for different composition. Otherwise if weights are close 100% accuracy would be impossible.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

I'll go with elliptical clip on that one.
