Awesome scores all of you. While I was dumping a box of Quarters at a Bank Of America, I asked the teller if they had any halves. They stated yes and they had 24 customer wrapped rolls, two of the rolls were opened bank rolls and I almost didn't purchase them. I know that there are still individuals out there that don't know that 195-1970 are 40% Silver so purchased them to make sure I wouldn't miss out on Silver. Sure glad I decided to purchase them, I ended up with 11 40%ers, 10-1967 and 1-1968. Enjoy.  "LOVE THE HUNT!"

I bought three rolls of Halves from my bank today. When I unwrapped one of the rolls and saw the pale toning of the coins, I knew the roll would be special. What I didn't expect was that I would have my biggest silver find in over a decade. I found a single 1964 Kennedy half, plus 55 silver clad Kennedy halves, the majority of which were 1967 and 1968-D! The breakdown was: *4 1965s *7 1966s *23 1967s *18 1968-Ds *3 1969-Ds Luck must be on my side today! |

I've found a reasonable number of silver Kennedy half dollars during the past two weeks. Last week I found one 90% coin and eight more coins that contain 40% silver -- principally in a box of Loomis rolls I acquired at the bank in the town where I live. This week's haul was even better: another 1964 Kennedy half dollar, and ten 40% silver coins (nine of them from a Loomis box I acquired at a different bank). The North Shore of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts remains a good place to search for this kind of treasure.   |
