Hello guys,
My friend bought this collection at a garage sale 1 month ago or so. He call me this morning and ask if I would buy all the collection($115.00 face) for $230.... so here my latest purchase and I'm still shacking...lol I've paid $230.00.
In this collection: 90 50 cents mostly 40's 50's and 60's
33 dollars from 1935 to 66, 30 quarter and 56 dimes all from 1890 to 1966.
The second part in the flip: 30 50 cents and 30 quarter but all in VG to VG+ with mabe some fine fine +. I've take only an overview but I think you'll be able to read date on the flips.
Finally what will you do with the coins not in flip ? put in a flip?...or in a bag or jar ?..let me know and thanks for your suggestions.
p.s. They are all Canadian silver.

A quintessential example of why collectors with even slightly decent stuff should make sure their heirs know what they have. A simple three sentence note stuffed in the box with these coins would have kept the garage sale holder from making a $1000++ mistake.

Hope your friend isn't unhappy with his sale.

I see a couple high grade dollars there. Any coins of high quality or key dates that stick out?

My friend doesn't care if it's more or less, but what he knows is I love silver coin...and he make 100% profit. As for the key date I'm still checking my Charlston 2015 but right of the bat there's 5 1911 50 centS, a 1914, 1931 and a couple victoria (quarter & halves) 2 or 3 NF 1899 1900 and some good date but not so many real key date. I will tell you more later, thanks all!

Your friend says he got $115 worth of silver coin at a garage sale for face value at $115? if I understand that correctly, the owner could just as easily exchanged it at a bank.

None of my business but I can't help but wondering how well you know this friend?

He bought for $115 (+-) face. Then he sold to me at $230. I have seen peoples at pawn shop selling silver dollars coins at .15 cent per grams or 1.73 per silver dollars...THIS is amazing !

Pretty Awesome! Double check that those flips don't contain PVC, otherwise I would switch them all out.
Rest in Peace

Wow great score. Hope you gave a beer to your friend.

As for the question what to do with the coins not in flip. I say put them in 2x2. Depending on what you want to do with them, you could always trade them or sell. I don't know if there's a coin club close to your place but there's a good one in Boucherville and they have shows 4 or 5 times a year.

Hi fellow "Quebeker"...
He doesn't drink like me, too bad. It will be very hard to trade them or sell them beleive me, but maybe a trde is possible one day for those I have 3 4 or 5 times. Do you know the next show in Boucherville ?
p.s. to Jake the dog, the flip are clear plastic, pvc free.
