I like how clear the J.B.L is on it, Moe.

For those not familiar with DE's, James Barton Longacre was the original designer. This is a type 3, redesigned by Willliam Barber...the father of Charles Barber.

Oh goodness. What a fantastic coin made right in the epicenter of a tragic natural disaster! I wonder where it was sitting when it happened.

That is a good question, SSK. I have wondered the same thing.

To me, each coin is a "window" into human history.
