Another box today....
Another 55D - lol.
16 pre-1958's, no keys, but a 1940 with 4 full steps.
No Silver
1 Buff - 1930 full date in VG condition that came out of the 49th roll cracked.
No foreign.
11 S-mints from 68-70.

Eaglefoot - I've considered thinning those out too. I've found some AU and better versions lately of the 70S. I keep all 68's (any coins) because its my birth year, but again, at some point I'll have to stop doing that too. LOL.

I do like anything "S" mint actually.....but with these nickels, I'm realizing that I'll need a "line" established for myself....storage....puropose......value.....etc.etc.etc. And so I figure that one coin tube of each of those three years will suffice quite nicely....then once full....I'd only save really exceptional quaility ones (which I don't see a lot of !) Plus...once I don't need anymore of these....I can just focus on Buffalo's, War Nickels, V nickels, Canadians, and the "Pre-1960's" ones (and I need to re-evaluate my "line" on those too actually !)....  |

Went through another box
Found 30 pre 1960's, but no silver or buffalo.
3 of them were 1939 (philly).
I've been finding more 39's than usual lately. Has anyone else seen found more 39's lately?

I have been slacking since the weather warmed up, did do a box a couple weeks ago and found a 42 S. First hole filled in a while. 5 left.

coinsleuth - I found four 39's in a box about a month ago - but none since.
I get a TON of 40's and 41's, almost as many of them as 58's.

Another box down......all customer rolled! Teller had $108 in cust rolled and put it in an empty box - so it counts as a box.
1 BU toned 1992 w/several colors on front and goldish tone on back, only a couple of very minor bag marks anywhere on it.
4 - S mints
29 - 58 and olders. No keys, no wars, no buffs.
Does anyone else notice that one of the rarer "new" dates is 1965? I may only see 1-2 of those p/box.

I went through 20 rolls of Brinks rolled nickels last night and found NOTHING.Not even a pre-60. Things are getting to be slim pickins from boxes. Then I picked up 20 customer wrapped rolls and found a 42 P war,a 42 D, a 38, 2-39's,a 55 and a 49 S. Go figure!

 It "is" crazy ! The first and only Franklin I've ever found came from $80.00 in "loose" halves from a bank ! Not from my Fed. Boxes ! I got a "bag" of I think $250.00 Nickels last summer.....it produced NOTHING interesting.... |

afcop - I agree with the 1965. I don't see too many of them. Probably because they minted 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 1964 nickels.
