nickelsearcher - congrats on that double rarity - not only a V nickel, but a roll-ender also! That is fantastic.

I did a box this weekend. 17 pre-1955, 1 1936 Buffalo probably a Fine

I just finished a little over twenty rolls today. Some interesting finds:
Very Fine 1936 Buffalo
1942 D silver
5 1963 BU's
& eight S mints! This one is very strange. I found four 1970 S, one 1969 S, and three 1968 S's. They were regular circulation wear. In five years of roll searching I have only found one S mint. Now eight in one stretch? Crazy.

finished 2 boxes and the last 12 rolls of a 3rd box I had laying around for 2 weeks
found 3 silver wars in one box
1943 P
1943 S
1945 P
that box gave me over 40 pre 59
the other box gave me about 35 pre 59
I got 2 hole fillers a 1953S and a 1949 S
down to about 10 holes I think (my book is at home and I'm in school right now)
a few holes in the early 50's, the 42 silver pieces, the 43D, the 44D, the 45D, the 38S and 39 D and S

I just finished an almost complete box of nickels ($88.00). The US Bank branch I went to said they didn't have enough in the bank to give me a full box. Anyways, out of the rolls I did receive this is what I found:
1939
1941
1941-S
1943 (this is the first silver nickel I have found in a while)
1946
1947x2
1948
1949
1949-D
1949-S (What are the odds of getting one from each mint for the same year in one box)
1952-D
1953-S
1954-Dx3
1957
1957-Dx2
1958-Dx3
1959-Dx2

All total, 24-1959 and before Jeffersons and 11 S-mint Jeffersons.

I'm not usually a nickel searcher, but I got a 1951 nickel in change for Chinese take out today. I was proud to see that one.

I haven't done a box of nickels in weeks, I think it's time. I usually snag 1 silver per box. I think I've only had 2 boxes that we're skunks as far as silver but always loaded with pre 59's.

3 boxes:

9 silver
2 Buffalo (1 1920 and 1 191?)
1 1964 proof
And a few semi-key dates (1950 being the best)

Pretty good 3 boxes by my standards..

I found my first War Nickel today, a 1942-P. Grades about VF. It was a nice surprise since I've only been through about 25 rolls total.

FINALLY SOME UPDATES!

Can't believe it has been over two months! Well, hopefully, barring any more bad health, I will get them on here a lot more often now. I did some reading of previous posts over the last two months, and it is super to see how everyone is doing. Plus, loved seeing Nickelsearcher and I get mentioned in the October issue of Coin Prices magazine for what we are doing here with nickel roll searching. Everyone keep up the good work!

I have eight updates ready to post now.
